When it comes to nutrients that the body needs, protein is king.
This is because amino acids -- the molecules that make up protein -- also serve as the main building blocks of the human body. [1]
According to medical experts, these amino acids, which are linked together like beads on a string, form the basic foundation not only of the body’s organs and its structures, such as muscles, bones and the skin, but also that of chemicals such as enzymes, hormones, neurotransmitters and various other tiny components that serve many important bodily functions.
Some amino acids, such as arginine and tyrosine, are produced naturally by the body, according to medical research. Others, however, such as lysine and tryptophan, must be acquired from dietary sources. These are called essential amino acids. [2]
This is the reason why people need to get enough protein into their diets. Medical experts, however, have noted that it is not enough to just consume protein -- one must make sure that its amino acid content is in the proper ratios.
However, if you don't eat meat, eggs and other food products derived from animals -- whether for medical or philosophical reasons -- getting all the essential amino acids that your body needs might pose a little bit of a challenge, especially since the human body does not store excess amino acids for later use.
This is where hemp protein comes in.

A short history of hemp

A byproduct of making hemp oil, hemp seed protein is made from the crushed seeds of the hemp plant (Cannabis sativa). [3]
Once native to Central Asia, hemp was first cultivated for its strong fibers in China as early as 2800 BCE before spreading to the Mediterranean and the rest of Europe during the Middle Ages. After that, hemp, as a crop, gained a foothold in North America in the 1600s.
Despite being grown primarily for its use as a source of tough, durable textiles, hemp is also looked at as a source of nutrition, especially since its seeds -- also called hemp “hearts” -- are rich in essential amino acids, dietary fiber and healthy fats, as well as a bevy of essential minerals.
A nutrient-dense functional food, hemp seed protein has an earthy, nutty taste and is often added to shakes or smoothies to increase their protein content.

Hemp seeds: A nutritional powerhouse

One of the most nutrient-dense foods known to man, hemp seeds are exceptionally rich in essential fatty acids, such as linoleic acid, alpha-linolenic acid and gamma-linolenic acid -- all of which have been linked to several health benefits.[4]
In addition to being a rich source of healthy fats, hemp seeds are also a great source of vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, C, D and E, as well as essential minerals such as copper, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, magnesium, sulfur, calcium, iron and zinc.
However, where hemp seeds truly shine is in their protein content. [5]
As noted in several studies, 25 percent of the total calories in hemp seeds are from high-quality protein -- an amount that’s considerably more than similar foods like chia seeds and flaxseeds, whose protein contents only amount to between 16 to 18 percent of their total calories.
This is what makes hemp seeds a great protein source, according to experts, with the seeds providing up to 64 percent of the Daily Value (DV) of protein per 100 g serving.

Hemp seed: A meaty chunk of the US supplement market

According to historical accounts, the ancient Chinese were the first to discover the nutritional properties of hemp seeds, with the classic document Shih-ching, or the Book of Songs, even noting that the seeds were usually eaten by farmers. [6]
Despite its rich history however, using hemp seeds as a food product never really gained a significant foothold in most countries, including the United States -- allegedly the result of several concerted efforts to curtail its cultivation in favor of other crops.
Over the past  20 years however, hemp seeds have seen a significant resurgence in the food industry, mostly as an added ingredient in products such as cereals, granola bars, baked goods and enriched meat loaves and other meat products, and as stand-alone supplements such as hemp seed oil and hemp seed protein powder.
This resurgence in popularity and interest has had a significant impact on the economy as well. In fact, according to a recent market report, the global hemp seed market pulled in approximately $319 million USD in 2018, and is expected to generate around $494 million USD by 2025. [7]
According to experts, this uptick in hemp seed use could be part of a greater pushback against the artificial and inorganic supplements and food products that have flooded the market for the better part of the last two decades. In fact, a report by the Council for Responsible Nutrition noted that herbals and botanicals made up 39 percent of the supplements bought by Americans over the past 12 months. [8]
The statistics should not surprise anyone -- organic hemp seed and its nutritional derivatives such as hemp seed protein and hemp seed oil, after all, are powerhouses when it comes to health benefits**.

What can you get from organic hemp seed protein?

Aside from its status as a good source of health-supporting amino acids and its astounding mineral content, hemp seed protein also contains phytochemicals called lignanamides which possess strong antioxidant properties. [9] [10]
In addition to its being certified by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as “generally recognized as safe (GRAS),” hemp seed protein does not contain tetrahydrocannabinol or THC, the chemical associated with the psychoactive properties of its parent plant, according to Food Standards Australia New Zealand. This means that you’ll get to experience the benefits of hemp seeds without experiencing any of the potentially unwanted psychoactive effects of marijuana. [11] [12]
Here are some of hemp seed protein’s health benefits**:

Organic hemp seeds provide complete, high-quality protein *

It may come as a shock to some, but 25 percent of the calories in hemp seeds come from their incredibly high protein content. [13]
In fact, hemp seeds contain such a large amount of protein that 30 g of hemp seeds, or about three tablespoons, can provide about 11 g of protein -- roughly the same amount of protein present in similar amounts of beef and lamb.
Not only that, but organic hemp seeds also provide all the essential amino acids that the body cannot produce on its own, including lysine. This means that hemp seeds are considered a complete protein source -- a rare occurrence in the plant kingdom. According to researchers, hemp seeds share this status with quinoa and soy beans, the only two other plants that can produce these essential amino acids.
In addition, organic hemp seeds also contain significant amounts of the amino acids methionine and cysteine, as well as very high levels of arginine and glutamic acid. These amino acids are all linked to several important bodily processes.
Also, unlike protein from animal sources, hemp protein is very easy to digest, which means that more of it gets used by the body.

Organic hemp seed protein helps support good heart health*

Taking hemp can support good heart health. According to research, this property may be linked to the seeds' high levels of the amino acid arginine, which produces nitric oxide in your body. Nitric oxide, according to a study in Current Atherosclerosis Reports, is a gas molecule that can support healthy heart functions. [14]
Similarly, a study published in the academic journal Inflammation posited that the high amounts of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) found in hemp seeds may be linked to a healthy heart. [15]

Organic hemp seed protein helps protect the body against oxidative stress and damage*

As it is packed with antioxidants in the form of the phytochemicals lignanamides, taking hemp seed protein can help protect your body from oxidative stress and damage that may be caused by free radicals.

Organic hemp seed protein helps support healthy, glowing skin*

Organic hemp seed protein can also support healthy, glowing skin. This effect, researchers say, may be due to the fact that hemp seeds are a rich and balanced source of omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids, particularly alpha-linolenic acid and gamma-linolenic acid.
According to a study published in the Journal of Dermatological Treatment, these two dietary fatty acids can maintain healthy skin, hair and nails. [16]

Organic hemp seed protein supports a healthy gut*

Hemp seeds are an excellent source of both insoluble and soluble dietary fibers -- carbohydrates that are known to promote optimal digestion and support a healthy gut.
Insoluble fiber, or roughage, adds bulk to food, which makes it pass through the gut more easily, thus maintaining regular bowel movements. Soluble fiber, meanwhile, forms a gel-like substance in your gut, where it acts as a valuable source of nutrients for healthy digestive bacteria. [17]
According to studies, while it is recommended that women and men consume 25 g and 38 g of fiber per day respectively, less than five percent of all American adults meet these recommendations. [18]
This means that hemp protein powders, which contain 7 to 8 g of fiber per 30 g serving, can help adults reach their recommended daily fiber intake, in comparison to other, more highly refined plant-based protein powders such as soy, pea and rice, which contain markedly lesser amounts of the said dietary components.

How to incorporate hemp seed protein into your diet

Despite its seemingly exotic and complicated nature, incorporating hemp seed protein into your diet is pretty straightforward; it can be as simple as adding a spoonful or two of hemp hearts or hemp seed powder into your favorite smoothies, or stirring a spoonful into some yogurt.
Hemp seed protein, just like the one in Health Ranger's Organic Hemp Protein Powder and Health Ranger Select Organic Hulled Hemp Seed, also stands up well to heat. This means that you can also add it to baked goods such as breads and pastries, in order to give them a much-needed protein boost.
Want to add organic hemp seed protein into your diet? Here are some recipes you can try:

Mankind is in the midst of an evolutionary shifting from fear to love.

Mankind is in the midst of an evolutionary shifting from fear to love.

The Arcturian Group

via Marilyn Raffaele.

April 5, 2020.

Dear readers, in these present times of stress and confusion, allow yourselves to rejoice in the realization that everything taking place at this time is bringing in the changes you have sought, hoped, and prayed for since incarnating into this present lifetime.

You who are spiritually awake will become the way showers, those who will be helping others open to new and more evolved ideas, solutions, and general ways of living. Present times are making life difficult for everyone but you must realize that the cessation of “busy-ness” is an effective way to bring about activities of Oneness where it can then be recognized, experienced, and begin integrating into the collective.

Mankind is in the midst of an evolutionary experience that is about shifting from fear to love. Is it not interesting that it is taking place at the time of the Christian holy day of Easter–a time of death, entombment, and then resurrection?

The virus is not a punishment, nor was it chosen as being necessary for your evolution. The disease you are witnessing today represents the exposure and clearing of false, old, hidden, dense, and no longer valid energy (beliefs) based in duality and separation, energies that have been fed and kept alive for hundreds of thousands of years by the unenlightened consciousness of the majority.

The time has arrived in man’s spiritual evolution to move beyond the three dimensional concepts and beliefs that have and continue to hold the majority in bondage. Spiritual evolution is an ongoing process governed by the higher dimensions as well as each individual’s Higher Self. Spiritual evolution or lack thereof has never been or ever can be controlled by individuals or groups who stand to benefit by keeping mankind locked in ignorance. Every individual is a Divine Being destined to awaken to their reality at some point.

Things will eventually quiet down but do not expect them to go back exactly the way they were for they will not, cannot. Present times are birthing a new world consciousness, one that is learning to see others in a new and higher way and which will eventually lead to the dissolving of separation based rules, laws, concepts, beliefs, and ideas. You are a part of this because you chose to be a part of it. Change is not going to happen over night, but the process has begun.

Those leaving earth at this time have chosen to do so on a deeper level. Death is always a personal choice regardless of how it may appear. Every individual has the free will choice to go or to stay. Many leaving are simply tired, and their contracts are complete and so have chosen the virus as their mode for leaving. Others are leaving in order to return to a more evolved world at a later time. Some leave because they believe they can better serve earth’s ascension process from the other side.

Everyone has Guides and a Higher Self always assisting them to make choices that best serve their spiritual evolution. Three dimensional ignorance has created a belief system that says; 1. Every person must try to stay on earth in body at any cost to self or others. 2. That success is about accumulating as much “stuff” as one can. 3. That one must do whatever it takes (drugs, activities, etc.) to always feel happy.

Life is about spiritual evolution, about waking up to oneness with Source and all that IT IS. Everything else simply represents the experiences and distractions, some good and some bad, necessary to eventually bring each individual to a readiness for truth.

Isolation is providing everyone the opportunity to stop doing, doing, doing and just be. Success during these times is not about how many rolls of toilet paper one can accumulate but is about doing no-thing–allowing, being, and clearing the mind of all the three dimensional nonsense that has come to be thought of as acceptable, important, and necessary.

It is about reconnecting with your Real Self in new ways while acknowledging the Divinity of everyone else as well, even those you don’t like. It is about recognizing and letting go of the “should’s” and “should not’s” that have ruled your life and allowing the I AM to express as and through you. It is only through receptivity, pondering, then allowing and living truth does it then integrate and become an attained state of consciousness.

Many see present circumstances as an inconvenient delay in their getting back to things as usual. Life is not going be be the same as it was before because consciousness, the substance of form, is changing.

Masculine energy (active, be-er, do-er) is gradually integrating and balancing with feminine energy (receptive, intuitive, love) and the result is going to be that the masculine without the feminine balance will no longer be able to hold dominance and power over everything as it has in the past.

It was necessary to at least temporarily halt the striving for more, more, more regardless of who got hurt in the process while believing that more equals better and makes one superior in some way. The third dimensional world must stop polluting and harming the the very source of its life and health–Mother Earth. Three dimensional human minds will continue finding ways to destroy each other and the planet for profit and gain if old concepts and beliefs remain.

The continual drive for more, more, more needs to be quieted and hopefully people will begin to seriously question and begin to take action on issues like the polluted water, food, and air that is harming (killing) all forms of life including humans, issues that are generally accepted simply because they increase some business’s bottom line.

Humans are meant to be the caretakers of earth dear ones, but greed has caused present conditions which cannot continue. Gaia, her people, and her creatures are sick and you are witnessing it now.

Those of you drawn to these messages are already caretakers well aware of the oneness of all life and so will be the ones explaining this to those drawn to you for guidance. You will be explaining that this is a spiritual universe peopled by sons of God rather than purely physical human beings at the mercy of every belief floating about in collective consciousness. You can tell them about energy and how each person’s state of consciousness creates their world and situations.

Your work is about to begin dear ones, It is what you have been preparing for even though you were not aware of it. It is why you chose to be here at this time. Let go of any concepts you may hold about how the work must look, for it will be different for each depending upon the circumstances and individuals involved. For some the work may simply be to hold the Light of truth for the world.

Some drawn to you will be only capable of assimilating the “baby food” of truth, while others will be ready for a full course meal. Allow your intuition to guide you as to which is which rather than following some protocol you may have been taught along the way.

All is proceeding according to plan and your job is to allow the process to unfold without resistance. Even though appearances testify to discord and suffering, the reality is that a great deal is going on behind the scenes. Collective consciousness is opening into new levels but as of yet most are unable to comprehend anything beyond outer appearances. Be practical, follow the guidelines, but don’t let your actions be reactions based in fear

Sit quietly and ask yourself. “What am I believing? What do I continue holding as truth in my consciousness? Am I willing to live truth or am I too afraid? Should I remain in third dimensional consciousness where I know what to expect even though it reflects duality and separation?”

The time is now. The time is upon everyone. The time has arrived to live what you know dear ones for this is only the beginning and there is much to come.

5 Signs You Could Be an Insecure Overachiever and How It Ruins Your Life

5 Signs You Could Be an Insecure Overachiever and How It Ruins Your Life

Becky Storey.

https://www.learning-mind.com/

An insecure overachiever is someone who constantly strives to do better but never feels like they reach it. They tend to believe that their worth is based on their job, work or career. As a result, they are not confident in their achievements and crave praise to remind them that they are good enough. This impaired thinking is often based on past childhood experiences and poorly directed praise from their parents and role-models.

Overachievers with hidden insecurities are likely to be highly critical of their own work performance and have an unrealistic view of their own talents and abilities. They fear being inadequate, so they go above and beyond the call of duty to prove themselves to their co-workers and bosses.

You might be an insecure overachiever without even realizing it. It can be disguised as having general anxietytowards work or having too much passion for what you do. This makes it attractive to employers. They are able to ignore the dangerous effects this personality trait might have on a person and instead revel in the benefits of having an endlessly determined employee.
Signs You Could Be an Insecure Overachiever:
You Work Extra Long Hours

The trouble with needing to prove that you’re a hard worker is that there are very few ways to show how hard you’ve worked – especially when you struggle to feel pride in what you’ve produced. The usual way forward for an overachiever is to measure the hours you’ve worked. To this kind of personality, long hours equates to hard work and success.

These days, there are an awful lot of insecure workaholics and overachievers. Most workplaces are filled with people who never feel like they’ve done enough. This means long workdays are pretty commonplace. Like a vicious cycle, when they see others working long hours, overachievers feel like they have to do the same. There’s nothing worse than being at the bottom of the barrel, even if it’s entirely in your head.

Overachievers who suffer from insecurities find it hard to call it a day when a task hasn’t been finished. Instead of letting go until the next morning, they’ll work into the night. This can lead to all-nighters and sacrificing any other personal needs until the work is finished.
You Take Criticism Hard

An overachiever with self-esteem issues thrives on praise and validation. They need to know that their hard work has paid off, and they need to know that other people see it too. They are constantly trying to be the very best in their career and won’t be comfortable with anything less.

Unfortunately, it’s not possible to always produce flawless work. Sometimes, even when it’s minor, there are improvements to be made. To a perfectionist, like most insecure achievers tend to be, any form of criticism is hard to handle.

Hearing that the work they’ve produced isn’t perfect can send an insecure overachiever into a downward spiral. It could lead to even more excessive work hours and pressure, all in the name of self-doubt. This could result in feeling unworthy of their job and previous career success.
You Have Little Time for Other Interests

As an insecure overachiever, your life revolves around your work. This means there is little time for a social life, a family life, or any other hobbies. Weekends, nights and even holidays are spent working in the hopes of furthering your career and doing the very best you can do.

Prioritizing is also a difficulty for insecure overachievers. They regularly put work above anything else because they see it as the most important factor in their lives. Without it, their self-worth depletes and they lose their sense of identity. Constantly working allows them to feel the never-ending stream of self-esteem that they crave so much.

Having no time for other interests can make a person narrow-minded, though, and results in their work suffering. If you’ve ever looking to shed your overachiever skin, the best way to start is by loosening your schedule.
You Never Feel Good Enough

A key part of being an insecure overachiever is always feeling like your performance isn’t enough. You constantly strive to be better but never achieve it because the goal is distant, unrealistic, and often always moving. Overachievers who are secretly insecure rarely see the true value in the work that they produce, instead often nit-picking at its minor flaws. They are always searching for places to improve.

Self-critical overachievers are typically looking for praise in everything they do but aren’t always good at receiving it. They want to be told that they’re successful but struggle to believe it. This could come across as humble but is, in fact, the result of deep insecurity.
You Believe Your Success Is Just Luck

Instead of feeling confident in their skills and abilities, overachievers often remain insecure and have trouble believing that they have earned their career success. Instead, they assume that it’s just a case of “right place, right time” and maybe, extra hard work.

Insecure overachievers often suffer from imposter syndrome. This is the term used for people who don’t believe they deserve the recognition they’ve received. An overachiever with imposter syndrome fears that one day they’ll be exposed as a “fraud”. They see themselves as unworthy of their success and assume that one day someone will notice that they’ve never truly been good at their job, only lucky in the right moments.
Are You an Insecure Overachiever?

Being an insecure overachiever can be a pre-curser to all sorts of anxiety conditions and is dangerous for your health. The pressure to always be your very best, even when the “best” doesn’t really exist, creates stress on the body. There is hope though, with someone to talk to and good people around you, it is possible to undo the effects of insecurities and regain balance over your life.
